CTLOT34
This course begins on the date listed and runs for 3 weeks. It is asynchronous.

  • "Am I ready to teach online?"
  • "What knowledge and skills do I need to have?"
  • "What does it really mean to teach online?"
Have you ever asked yourself these questions when faced with the prospect of teaching online? The You've Got This! Facilitating Your Online Course workshop is designed to help you find some answers and give you a few tools and strategies to use to be a more effective facilitator of an online course.

The Center for Teaching and Learning workshop is a three-week, fully-facilitated, 100% online experience complete with learning materials, activities, and assignments with actual due dates and grades. You'll experience what it's like to be a real online student (because you are!) as you learn what it takes to be an effective online teacher (or facilitator.) During the workshop, you can expect to explore the myths and realities of facilitating an online course, discover what constitutes effective online facilitation, and develop a "work plan" of tasks to do and strategies to use when facilitating an online course. Through your active participation in the workshop, you'll also get the opportunity to earn a Certificate of Completion.
